If you owe the IRS, your stimulus payment will be taken and applied to what you owe. If there's anything left, they'll send it to you. |

It does state that stimulus checks will be held if you owe back taxes on the irs website...along with defualted student loans and back child support. |

No they are going to take what you owe out first then send you the difference if any. And it does say it on irs.gov cause thats where I read it at. |

Most likely if you did not file a tax return in 2007 you are not entitled to receive a check.If you OWE money for some reason, I doubt it. I know of someone who borrowed money from her 401k and she didn't get a check. Each circumstance is different. Call the IRS your self to find out. |

it does states in Stimulus Payment FAQ's, that if you owe your rebate will be offset just like any IRS refund.
Even if you have an installment agreement with the IRS your rebate will still be offset and applied to your debt. |

No, you won't get one in that circumstance. Other people who are not getting them are folks that are behind in their mortgage and school loan payments. If everything is being paid on time and you owe nothing to the IRS, you should get the stimulus check. |
