Business as usual
If I come into inheritance will I be kicked off unemployment?

shoredude2
It would depend on the laws of the state where you're collecting unemployment, since they're each different. In Pennsylvania, the answer would be no. Here, unemployment is only affected by the amount of money you make while working. You can legally collect a severance and unemployment at the same time. Since you're not working the inheritance, it doesn't affect unemployment.

No. Unemployment benefits are paid based on prior work history vs current employment status. Your own personal wealth (or lack thereof) has nothing to do with your right to collect. It is just like Social Security retirement benefits. You've paid into it and you have a right to collect, given certain qualifications.

WHY WOULD YOU GIVE A DAMN? UNLESS IT WAS DEBT

If you have a conscience you will stop collecting unemployment if you receive an inheritance. Either way you don't have to do CRAP to get the money, so there is always the options of....getting a job!

Hopefully.
