Ok - I'm not a tax professional. But several people have asked this question, and several people have answered it improperly or at least incomplete.
It is important to know - are you asking "will they deduct payroll taxes from my check" or are you asking if you will have to file taxes at the end of the year.
Yahoo Answers is a great place to consider your questions, but when you're dealing with the law - go to the source. |

If you make enough to owe taxes, then yes you have to pay them. Age doesn't have anything to do with it. The limit for 2008 is $5450 if you are an employee and they take out social security and medicare from your paycheck, or $400 if they don't. |

You do not have to pay Federal Income Taxes unless you make more than $5350 this year. I'm assuming your parents claim you on their return. You will have FICA (Social Security) tax withheld from your paycheck. If you make less than $5350, you don't need to file a return. If you expect to make less than that, put down EXEMPT on your W-4 you fill out. |

A percenytage yes gets taken away, as everyone has to pay taxes... this is 9%.. but as you are 15 you can claim it all back at the end of the finacial year.. so yes you do pay tax, but you get it back.. i am myself 15 and working casually so i cant wait to get it back. |

Depends on where you work and how much you make. Most jobs will make sure taxes are already taken out before you even get paid.
If not, then a lot of other questions come into play, and the person paying you would be the best person to answer them. |

It depends on where you live.. but i know around these parts you don't have to... they take off about 4 dollars a check! They possibly could take them off and then you would get a FULL REFUND in spring from taxes! But i don't believe you have to pay into them nope! :) Hope this helps! |
