You are not making that amount of money so dont worry about it, becuase if you did make that amount of money you would already have yourself a tax accountant or be looking for a tax accountant instead of aksing that question on this site

The IRS and SS usually grab about 1/3. State and local, especially in NY, can be counted on to take another 10 to 15%. Yep! They're going to nail you. But hey, a 19-year-old doesn't need that kind of money anyway. If I were you, I'd be looking into an tax deferred IRA immediately.

You don't say how you earned this money. Was it earned through a pay roll or are you self-employed. If you are self, then you have to declare all the expenses you had to make that income and of course it will reduce the amount.
Also if you are self employed you are suppose to pay estimate taxes during the year otherwise you will have to pay penalties for paying late.
If you earned your money through payroll, your employer made deductions thru the year. If this is the case, you better put as much as you can in a traditional Ira, to reduce your taxes . Check with your accountant

you have to pay 20% of your salary.there are certain ways to pay the tax.if you want to reduce the tax or to get some offers visit web sites to get help.
these are some websites which gives help depending on the tax.

You will be paying about 20% for taxes per paycheck. I know you are young and this may not apply to you,or maybe it does but if you have a live in girlfiend/fiance/wife who is unemployed, then you can claim her and yourself on your employee Form W-4(Personal Allowances Worksheet)..
Basiclly there will be 15% per paycheck tooken out for taxes rather then 20%.. Those 2 allowances will save ya about 10,000.00 a yr..
F.Y.I...If you have already filled out this form for your new employer, ask to speak to someone in payroll and let them know you would like to fill out another one..Even if you claim just 1 allowance, that is still saving ya some money, and it is 100% legal..
Hope this helps!!Missy
