For income levels between $74,500 and $126,000, the income tax is 28%.
To determine your pre-tax income, you take 28% of your $85,000 and add that to the $85,000
It should come out to something around $108,800. |

112000 per year. 24% of your income goes to taxes and witholdings. you take the grand total (112000) and multiply it by .76 and you get 85120. |

$85K is in the 25% to 28% Tax Bracket so find 28% of 85000 and add that ontop |

Yeah, you should know. Since we have no idea if you have money market accounts, dividends, stocks, etc. there is no way for us to figure it out. |

How can u work out your gross amount with these details? There may be non taxable income and there may be expenditures which can be excluded from taxes, so on. You have to ask straight question that, per year what is the percentage of tax on taxable income? Thats all. |

Gross Income.
It depends upon your the state you live and the deductions you claim on your W-4. |

depends. your pay can be changed just by what you claim on your w9. married with 0 will take more taxes per check and claiming married with 4 will take out less per check. |

Look at your W2.. your W2 from your employer will tell you what your wages are before taxes are taken out. A rough estimate to expect is about 25-30% of your income is taken out in combined federal, state, social security, medicare and any other distributions you have elected. Best Wishes! |

You don't know how much money you make and you still make that type of salary?? Jeez... it's true... all of the people that make good money ARE stupid. lol j/k
If you are in the US then Uncle Sam takes about 33% on average. That would put you a little over 125k. |
