They are required by law to pay you for the hours actually worked, at a rate that is at least equal to minimum wage. Beyond that, yes, it's legal.
Your option is to look for another job. If pay was just cut substantially, I'd guess a lot of the employees are job-hunting. |

If you don't get paid sick leave, then it probably is legal. I don't know where you live so I can't check laws. I would assume this is allowed though. |

my employer pays salary, and has sick days, but if you use more sick days than you have, they deduct from your salary that day's pay. I believe it is legal, even if it isn't the answer you want. |

I don't necessarily agree with it because you wouldn't get extra for working more. I don't think it's illegal. I do have personal days, but I ran out after taking maternity leave. For 6 months I was docked when I was out. |

No, It's not illegal. There's a opinion letter by the Dept. of Labor's Employment Standards that addresses this issue.

If they cut your pay that much, no benefits of any kind...dust off your resume and start looking for something better. |
