If i earn £21,000 per year, how much will i take home after tax each month?
After tax, it will be £1320 give or take a few quid.
steviec
£1268.00
dannyharris
£1365
The basic rate of tax for salary below £32500 is 22%
So 22% of £21000 = £4620
so per year AFTER tax is £21000 - £4620 = £16380
Then divide by 12 to get your monthly take home = £1365
Assuming nothing else is coming out like National Insurance, Pensions, etc
Do not spent it all at once!

If you have dependent children you may qualify for child tax credit which can run into hundreds of pounds per month. So check this out when making your calculations.

£15,876 after tax and insurance. So that's about £1323 per month. Check out www.i-resign.com for the salary calculator I used to work this out. :-)
