They will take what you owe and give you the remainder if there is any

they will keep what you owe and if there is any left you will get that.. if it isn't enough to cover it they will continue to keep your taxes until its paid in full.

I think I read somewhere that if you owe taxes you will not get a rebate. I don't think they deduct what you owe out of the rebate... I think you just don't get one.

They will pay your debt and send you the rest.

If you owed taxes, you still get a rebate. If you have received notices from the IRS stating you owe them back taxes, I am not sure you will get anything!!

the IRS has told me that if you owe them they will keep the rebate, if you qualify for it, and apply it towards your balance..I think that sucks! I want to enjoy the rebate like everybody else! I pay them monthly on what I owe so why does this have to apply to that? Thanks for the gift Mr. Bush! Your just getting it back.

They will apply it to your outstanding balance owed if you owe federal taxes.

They gonna subtract the amount you own, also if you had not file tax this year you will not get the check.
