If you are a single parent you will get approx £55, you haven't said how many children you have! You also get a family premium of about £15 because you have children. Go to the job centre website and follow the benefits link. It tells you there what you are entitled to. |

sue G you are wrong everyone gets child tax credits you dont have to work the benefit you are on about is WORKING TAX CREDITS then you have to work more than 16 hours a week to recieve this one child tax credits are what you get if you are not working |

ok, i may be wrong on this. but child tax credit is a credit against the amount of tax you pay. if you're not working then how do you pay tax?? if you're not paying tax then how do you get a credit against it.
sorry, but doesnt income support cover it all, full stop.
as i said i may be wrong, but I cant see how a payment designed to help "working" parents is going to be applicable to non-working parents. sorry |

try to ignore the bigoted people who have not considered if 1.you are working part time 2.that you are bringing up a child alone which is hard work in itself 3.that someone else helped to make the baby but isn't around for whatever reason 4.that you are living with your parents who have probably paid taxes all their lives so you are getting a little back 5.that it is your business not theirs
i work part time so do not know the answer i'm afraid but i think you may get the child tax element only..have you looked on either websites for help?..keep trying and make sure you receive what you and your child are entitled to
it's not easy bringing up children either in a partnership or alone but if money is less of a pressure it takes off the strain a little..good luck |

Your income support is paid in addition to the child tax credits. So it will not be reduced
The weekly figures are approx. £59.15 income support plus approx. £47 per child for child tax credits (if a child is under a year it will be slightly higher by about a tenner) |

The fastest way is to call tax credits and ask for an entitlement calculation on 0845 300 3900 and they are open 8am - 8pm Mon - Sun
The call is charged at local rate so not a huge bill.
They will take all of your circumstances and give you the rough entitlement, you should have your National Insurance Number to hand as well and they will send you out an application pack. |

i have problem with my incom sport they stopped &i appealed adeciision in 13/09/2010,that i &mr Ali were living together.The evidence for this decision is a statement I made on 09/07/10 that Mr Ali was visitng me but becuse i dont andrestad what they writ jast they says syin &becuse i was very sick in that time
my baby was born on 16/07/10 and since then ihave not seen Mr Ali except on 03/11/10 he when came to visit his child and only stayed 2 hours .i am not in contact with him .please consider my claim as i heve very little income and the decision to refuse incom supprt and i have problem with my housing benefit and with my lanlond naw iam felling vary sick some time i thinking to cell my self please any one help me
