Yes you will get your taxes back...your dad is claiming you as a dependent, instead of your mom, it's an exemption on his taxes, it won't affect your refund. |

Yes, you are a dependent, and some one else claims your dependency exemption. You don't say how much you earned, but you can/should file and get most if not all of your withholding back. You can do this yourself at irs.gov, free efile. Don't forget to go to your state after you do the federal return and file there too. |

You would file as a dependant and yeah probabbly get it all back. |

The rules for you are the same as if your dad wasn't involved, or even if you and both parents all lived together. If you made under $5350, you can file a return and get back everything that was withheld for federal income tax (box 2 on your W-2). You won't get back what was taken out for social security or medicare. If anything was taken out for state, you might or might not get some or all of that back, it depends on your state.
If you made over $5350 you'll have some tax liability - but you still might get some back from what you paid in.
You'll file a form 1040EZ. When you get to line 5 where it says to check the "YOU" box if anyone can claim you, you'll check it. |

Did YOU have income? That is the only possible way you might get something back. Child support is not your income. |

No. sorry. You don't get any taxes back so long as one of your parents claim you as a dependent. But... what we did with our son is figured out how much he would have gotten back and paid him directly. Because we got back much more by claiming him that he got back if he had filed his taxes on his own. |
