well, I can kinda answer going by ours anyways...we were due back 6516.00; after filing fees and next day check, we received 6242.14.....hope that helps ya some!! I still love H&R Block though...very good to me for the past 10 years..

sam
if all you have is one W2 and no deductions you can do that at home in about 15 minutes. no point in paying H&R Block when even a monkey could do that.

lamphinhome
well, if you e-filed for free on the irs site, you would get all $7466 of it. you can get the refund direct deposited which typically will end up in your account in about 2 weeks from the date you e-filed online.

Dont do HR block. Use turbo tax, if you go to HR Block its just like watching someone use turbotax, but you have to pay them $200.

Sweety
You should just e-file, it won't take that long.
Get all of your money back.

If you are getting that much back why are you concerned with the fees associoated. Okay I am going to be the bad guy, but with all of the FREE tax websites around and you only have 1 W2 and other deductions, why not do it yourself?

7466 minus the fee's hrblock charges you. I would say you will get back about 7100 after the fees are taken out

chickey_soup
Dont do the same day refund! have yo seen the interest rate?

You can do your federal online for free at turbotax.com

Second if you use direct deposit you will have your money in 16 days or less (typically).

ALso that is a HUGE refund. You need to change your withholdings. You are essentially loaning the government money interest free. Adjust your withholding and you wont get a big refund but you will get extra money every pay. Since yo uarent used to it anyway yo ucan even take a chunk directly to savings every pay and get interest on it...you'll end up with more then what your refund would be if you are having too much taken out.

You are crazy if you pay H&R Block to 1) do the tax return; and/or 2) do the rapid refund.

Have a little patience, do the thing yourself, file online, and you will have ALL of your money before you know it.

I wouldn't go to H & R block..most of those places that do same day or next day refund loans charge 10% of your refund..you are looking at almost 800 bucks, I think I would just free file and wait 2 weeks to get it.
