Honey and jase are the only correct answers so far. 409.04 x17.5% = 85.90 ( Or to work it out £494.94 / 1.21 = 409.04
(But if you are in the UK VAT is 17.5% so the vat would be £494.94/1.175= £421.23 nett + VAT of £73.71) |

VAT is 17.5 isnt it? |

|
£409.04 was the cost of the product + VAT of £85.90 (21% x £409.04) makes the £494.94. |

if your total bill was £494.94 then
494.94/121=4.09
4.09*100=409.04
494.94-409.04= 85.90
VAT paid at 21% = £85.90. |

494.94 + 21% means a total of 598.88
494.94 - 21% =the bill was 391
though you do realise vat is 17.5%
494.94 - 17.5% = bill was 408.3
494.94 + 17.5% = 581.55 |
