1 gallon = 4.546 litres

therefore 4.546 x 1.03= £4.68

4 1/2 Litre to the Gallon so £4.63 1/2 p

jonboy
4.54609 ltrs per gallon to nearest 5 decimal points.
So £1.03 x 4.54609 = £4.6824727 ppg.
Tell that to the cashier when you just want a gallon. Make sure you get the correct change!

A liter is a little bigger than a quart. There are 3.785 liters in a US gallon and 4.545 liters in A UK gallon.

I assume you mean 101p, or 1.03 pounds, per liter/litre.

So a UK gallon costs 468p, of 4.68 British pounds, per gallon.

If you are trying to compare prices to US prices, then you'd have to use the US gallon which would cost 3.90 British pounds, which would be $8.15 US dollars per US gallon.

£4.68 per Imperial gallon.

I think you mean 103p or £1.03 per litre.

1 Imperial gallon = 4.546 litres
At 103p per litre = 103p x 4.546
= £4.68 rounded to nearest 1p.

note it is the US gallon that is 3.7854 litres.

Too much - the government takes 70% that is an out-rage. We pay the most for petrol in the world. The US is less than half our price and they generally have bigger cars - society sucks. Cars and bikes are some of the funnest things in life and our government has ruined them - they think it will reduce congestion. The problem is that public transport is also so expensive people are forced onto the roads.

Jeremy Clarkson for PM.

It about £5 per gallon.
