If someone has more money than they need to live on, should the excess be taken from them?
If so, who is to determine how much one "needs"? Who is to do the taking, and on what moral and legal grounds do they have that right?

no ,i dont think it should be taken, but if you have more than need i think you should have compassion for your fellow man and pay it forward

Well two men work in a factory, A saves his money works overtime to gain more money.
B goes to a bar each evening and a betting shop at the week end!
The factory closes, B goes on benefit, A starts his own company and builds a profitable business, pays, taxes and has more money than he needs to live on?
So what right has any one to take money from A and give it to B??
To earn money is hard, if you accomplish this, you deserve it, no one has the right to take it away.

Nobody has the right to that "excess money" away from a person unless that money was made by illegal manners. That person has to make sure to pay the taxes for that money though if not then it can be taken away.

No, the excess should not be taken from them.

On the other hand, anyone earning a large amount of money should not be given loopholes that enable them to legally pay no taxes whatsoever. They shouldn't be overtaxed, but they should pay a share, just like I do.

Does that seem fair?

Well sure, Mr Marx. And obviously the all-knowing government should make the decisions.

NOT!

yes, every one get a visa card and all your pay goes into it. At the end of the month balance is zero.

Yes, people should each have all money taken then give back what they can prove they need to survive.
Nobody needs more than about $30K per year so any excess should be taxed away and given to the people who don't work until we are all equal.
