Yup. Our tax dollars pay for all kinds of assistance. But the person recieving assistance pays taxes for it as well. Most states require them to have a job to be eligible for any kind of assistance.
****EDIT****
Not all people on welfare are just "having babies etc". Some are from a recent divorce or seperation. Some have spouses that die. Don't be too quick to judge those that just need a helping hand.
But I agree that there are those that make a career out of living off the goverment. And that makes me sick. |

That is one of the reasons for having taxes. Tax dollars come from many different sources and not just from income tax of the individual. Without the taxes that have to be paid along the way most everything you buy would be less than half what you pay now. |

Yes. Or, you could take the stance that that is the part of the budget that produces red ink and noone pays for it. |

yep. same story when any public place pays $200 for a new toilet seat; your money helps to pay for it. |

Yes!, yours and mine.
What I fail to understand is why you or anyone else would ***** about helping any American, no matter how un-cool they may be, while we keep incompetent politicians on the public dole and while giving literally...billions...of our dollars to firms like Halliburton.
You don't seem to be concerned about this. It appears to be unattractive, less fortunate individuals, your own fellow itizens, in need of a little help that concerns you.
Why not opt out of helping average Americans and just send your checks directly to Halliburton, WorldCom and Emron?
Those pesky unlucky have-nots among us should be what? Interned in some camp out of sight of "tax payers" like you and our very expensive, incompetent politicians and executive branch? |

when the state pays for child care assistance it is" your tax dollars" that pays for the child care. |

Yes they are using our tax dollars. But I believe that they only get this assistance when they are working. So if they are working and paying taxes and having to use some of ours it is better than them completely relying on gov. assistance for everything.
I hope this makes you feel some better.:) |

|

I don't care for you much
|
Yeah unfortunatly..It kinda sucks cause it's like if you don't have any kids and your trying to just work and make it on your own making the right choices stuiped people can just go out there, have all these babies and get on housing, welfare, food stamps ect..It's kinda crazy isn't it. |
