YA is a sham

If someone else can claim you on their taxes (your parents), you will be refunded all federal and state taxes you paid through your employer. You will have to file tax forms (federal and state) to get your refund. Wait until you get your W-2 forms and file using the 1040ez forms, it is very easy and should take less than 5 minutes. |

And what else are you going to buy with your $99.00. |

That income is so low you won't income tax.
However, the only money to be refunded is "federal income tax withheld" which is one of the monies withheld from your paycheck. (You will not get Fica/MC back.)
You may find that you didn't pay any taxes in, so there is nothing left to get back out. |

If they took anything out for federal income tax, you'll get that back if you file a return. You won't get back the other deductions though like social security and medicare. If you only earned $524 they can't have taken more than a few dollars out for federal income tax, if they took anything. |

your personal exeption is around 3,500 dollars. If you only made 524 you will get it all back. Minus social security and medicare taxes. I dont know your state taxes but I would assume you get those back too. |

Im not positive but your employer should have given you a W-2 if not I don't think you have to claim anything. I didn't receive one until after tax day so I did not claim them.
Good Luck |

I think the lowest amount you can be taxed on is $600.. If you kept your check stubs, look at the "deductions" side of the stub and see what amounts are printed on there. They deduct federal, state and sometimes, local taxes, FICA (social security/Medicare). Ask your parents to check with their tax advisor.
By the way, 17 is awfully young to be moving in with your boyfriend, I hope you aren't trying to do a Jamie Lynn Spears. |

I forgot the amount but if you made less than it (which you clearly did) you don't have to file your taxes. |
|

You only file if you've made a certain amount, and I do not believe that amount qualifies anywhere |
