It will be direct deposited. According to the IRS:
How will you receive the [rebate] payment?
Be sure to choose direct deposit when you file your tax return, even if you aren't due a regular tax refund on your tax return. That way, the stimulus payment will go right to your bank account.
And here is when you'll get it:
Last two SSN digits: Payment will be transmitted by:
00 through 20 May 2
21 through 75 May 9
76 through 99 May 16 |

I was wondering this myself. Our refunds have always been direct deposit. I'm just assuming that since they have the info that they need, this check will also go direct deposit. |

I heard on the news this morning that they will indeed be put in direct deposit. I guess that is if you've filed your taxes direct deposit. |

YES. If you have already set up DD with the IRS then your check will be DD'd to your account.
WHEN it gets sent is based on the last TWO digits of your SSN.
If it is like, 01 thru 09, it gets sent first, then so forth up to 99.
So depending on your SSN, it coule be deposited as soon as the 2nd week of May. Last I heard. |

from what i've read, they will use the same method as filed on your 2007 return. so if they have your bank info, keep an eye out for a nice bonus ! |
