No, because this is money owed to the child on behalf of the spouse who is paying it. You do not even have to count it up at the end of the year for tax purposes.

No child support is not taxable to the receiver. Also, it is not a deductable expense to the payee. Alimony is taxable and deductable as an income and expense, respectively.

I'd like to say no. However some states may bave their own laws. I know that the person paying child support can detuct it from their taxes.
