Its not just about the money, its about personal pride and self esteem - going out to work helps build both pride and self esteem and helps you meet people and gets you out of the house. I enjoy getting out of the house to my part time job as I have adult comapny away from the kids and housework. Consider it "Me" time. Every job is important and should be valued whether you are a cleaner or a chief executive. We are all humans entitled to dignity and respect in the workplace. On the migrant issue, that should have no relevance to whether you chosse to work or nt. |

i don't know where your at but in the state i live people who are in unions make from 15 to almost 30 an hour i didn't believe until some one showed it to me to which i jokily said pass me the broom |

Dear Yazzev:
If I could afford some sort of shelter, food and transportation on wages for cleaning offices work, I would PREFER it to welfare -of any type.
In a short time, after learning the trade and gaining some insights about it, I would open my own Janitorial Cleaning Services company and hire others to do it. How's that for some confidence and good all American know-how? Boy, are we achievers, we Americans, aren't we?

Yes of course but I wouldn't go on benefits in the first place. I have self-pride and would never dream of relying on the taxpayer to fund my lifestyle. Hypothetically though I would because not only would it be extremely boring to stay at home all day spongeing like I know thousands do (you know who you are lowlifes!) but it would make the country a better place if the Brits got off their lazy butts to contribute to society and we wouldn't need so many migrants flooding our tiny island. By the way it has nothing to do with racism, just realism. Okay so how many more people from around the world do we have to accommodate? Thousands more? Millions more? Will our countryside have to be destroyed to make room for all these extra people? Why can't we have our say on the way things should be run in this country? After all we pay way more taxes than anyone else in Europe. Stop making it a racist issue. |

No. I'd use all of my time to get educated and good at something that earns me more money. You don't need much money to read (eg the library). If the jobs are out there education is money. |

Absolutely not. By staying on a benefit you are providing several advantages to the economy
The first allowing a migrant employment they may otherwise find hard to get. Secondly by receiving a benefit you will be spending this money on things like groceries, utility bills etc. This in itself puts money into the local ecomony creating further employment. Thirdly I prefer the Government to spend money on it's own people that are in need rather than on stupid things like foreign aid or guns for their army
So stay exactly where you are! |
