No, Child support is non taxable as it is stated so in the 1040 instructions on page 24 right in the middle under "Other Income"

No, you don't report child support received or paid - it has no effect on your tax.

Child support is not taxable income, the payer has already had to pay income tax on it. To tax it again would be double taxation

As a tax preparer, I can tell you that child support is not taxable.

yes there is a place for child support but you dont get anything back on it cause the other half is paying it out my twins dad would of got to claim them but he is behind on child support so we get to claim them and it is ordered that way and they will take out what he owes in back support out of his return!!! Hope that this will help!!!
