A man has to be 65 to draw state pension, and at some stage I think that goes up to 68. The right of women to draw her pension at 60 is being eroded shortly. She will have to wait until 65, although there are intermediary measures being put in place which graduates the age over a period of time. But eventually that will go up to 68.

Not until you are 65 if state pension, anytime if private pension

Unfortunately no, as a male you have to wait until you are 65. However, if you are unemployed, you can claim all the usual benefits.

If you are in a company pension or private pension scheme, and have been a member of same for at least 20 years, you can arrange with your pension fund to start paying you your private/company pension right away. The minimum age for this is 50. I started drawing my company pension from age 51 - I'm now 67 - worth having.

Check out the link below for all manner of info on benefits. Don't miss out, because there are millions in unclaimed benefits out there.

No, you have to be 65, even if you lost your job tomorrow you still cannot claim it.

DAWN J
i'm not sure.i think in some circumstances they will pay it but you will have to check with your local government offices.

ANF
Sorry no you cannot. If it were a private pension then you would have the option of early retirement and early pension.
