Depends on how complicated filing your taxes will be this year. Honestly from what H n R Block charges for their services, you could find a local accountant who is either in same price range or cheaper. I had problems with HnR Block in the past for not letting me take legitimate deductions and overcharging for their service.
I would recommend finding a local tax accountant in your area. Most charge by how many forms you need to file and sometimes they are cheaper then either of the big tax preparers. Plus some can find ways of getting you deductions you may not know you are entitled too. |

H&R block is best as far as accounting is concern. You can try CPA if your taxes are complicated but they are expensive comopare to H&R. |

It depends on the location and the person.
FYI....some larger Jackson-Hewitt Franchisees are being investigated by the IRS with possible criminal charges pending. They were (allegedly) inflating customers refunds using illegal means. |

Buy the H&R Block or Turbotax programs and do your own taxes at home. It's easy, private and way cheaper. |

A question of dumb or dumber; they give a person a two week training course and let them do taxes. Get real!! I have been doing taxes for 36 years and the number of returns prepared by those two places the I have had to correct with a1040X I don't even care to think about. Go to IRS.GOV and use the free filing setup; just do it yourself so you know it is done right. |

If you have a Liberty tax office go to them. Jackson hewitt got in a lot of trouble last year and h&r was a monopoly for a long time. Liberty has been around for 11 years and was started by formers of both and they charge less and are much friendlier |

I prefer H&R over any other, but I am biased with this bc I have a very close friend who owns the one here. So I get all the help I need plus some with H&R Block. |
