You can earn £20 and then they will deduct what you earn from what you get - you're never ever better off when you work whilst on I.S - well, only by £20 as I mentioned, but that's the best off you can be. It's much more logical to work 16 hours and claim tax credits, you'll actually be better off then. |

I also did that basicly you will be working 10 hours for £20 as that is the max amount you can earn before they stop your benefits, what ever you earn after £20 just gets deducted off your income support, you would be best off doing say 4 hours a week. hope that helps!! |

call your local citizens advice bureau, they'll be able to tell you for sure, you don't want to take any chances and have to pay them money back, that happened to my friend and she had to back pay them nearly £1000 |

They will deduct what you earn from your income support.....your income support for you alone (not the child bit) is £59.15 per week.....so whatever you earn deduct it from that |

I suspect that you will just get the same money but be allowed to keep your wages too..if you return to work you may get a bonus of £200.00 from the DSS...my friend did but she went back for more than 16 hours...the extra is to help buy work clothes etc....you should google DSS and your home town...there will be info on that....but they'll tell you if you phone and ask tommorrow. |
