I seen that there was alot of questions about people wondering if they would get their check on time with it being 4th of July weekend. I was one of them. But, I did recieve mine today, July 5th. So if you didnt recieve it today it should be here Mon or Tues. Wednesday at the latest. With me getting my check ... It made my day. Thank God. |

A lot of people are having the same issues. I spoke to someone at the IRS and she said that they issued the checks on Saturday the 5th & Monday the 7th, so depending on if yours was in the batch for Saturday the 5th or Monday the 7th will say when you get yours. I was also told that they mailed some out on Wednesday. She said it was the "early" people, meaning the people who's social is first. Well the ssn range is 76 - 87, funny thing is mine is 77 and I still havent gotten it (7/8). She told me "guess you werent lucky". I dont think they have a set procedure they just go off of whichever they grab first apparently. So she said that people should be receiving theirs by Saturday the 5th, Monday the 7th or Wednesday the 9th. Hope that helps :-) |

I guess it all depends on what state you live in (I live in Texas). The mail out date for my stimulus check is also July 4th. I knew that since mail wasn't being delivered on Friday, July 4th, I assumed that I would get it Saturday. Unfortunately, I did not. I hope and PRAY that I get it today. But you know this whole stimulus b.s. is really unorganized. I am still trying to figure out how if the checks are scheduled to be mailed out every Friday, how is it that some people actually got their checks on the mail out date (that Friday) and some got theirs' on Saturday and some have yet to receive theirs' (like me). And how is that some people, especially people that make a lot of money qualify for the full $600 and others (like me, lol) who don't make as much only get $300 or less. And why would they use July 4th as a mail out date anyway, they know that that is a federal holiday. The IRS is closed, the post office is closed and most banks are closed. WTF? But you know, we shouldn't be surprised at all with this stimulus check catastrophe. After all, we are talking about the U.S. Government.

You're so lucky! I was really hoping to get mine so I could take advantage of the weekend sales, but it looks like it's going to be here on Monday. Now that the weekend is over, it doesn't really matter what day it comes during the week, since I'm going shopping with my husband and he's too busy during the week with work. I still don't understand why they even used July 4th as a date, since they aren't even open that day and no mail goes out. Why didn't they just use July 3rd? Oh well, lol. I'm just so grateful for the money, we're going to buy some things for the house we wouldn't have purchased otherwise. So I can't complain :)
edit: my mail just came (monday) and still no check. I live in Austin, Texas. Not sure if that has anything to do with it... |

Have not got mine yet either. Funny thing was, my letter they sent out was dated June 30th, yet i got the letter on Saturday which was June 28th (which made no sense) SOOO i really thought they were ahead of schedule. I think the whole 4th of July issue date was crap too b/c we all know they dont work on the 4th. I dont even think the IRS works on the saturdays either. Let's all hope they arrive today. |
