Is bank holiday always paid at double time?

husquarana
thats down to your employer, might only by time and a half..best check first before you work it

Pit Bull
All depends on your contract of employment. Your industry may need to operate over bank holiday periods and you may just have to work for single time and take your days holiday at some other time. I know of one company that lets you accrue public holiday days to give you an extra week or more off.

MUFFIN: 4 WKS & 2 DAYS......

Not always no. Some places you only get time and a half OR if you're really unlucky, you just get your normal wage!

Depends how much of a Scrooge your boss is!

nenoneno
depends how your company pays it
some pay double on the day or give an extra days holiday
but some incorperate in your initial salary that you are expected to work some bank holidays so read your contract of employement

It all depends on the agreement/contract between the employer and the worker.

Not always. Sometimes it's time & a quarter, time & a half or time & 3 quarters. Check the going rate with your employer. *Was Christmas Bonus not enough for you, then?!
