You have not said what stuff, lots of people do a booze cruise but they ar still limited to what they can bring in.
If you are talking about your own household stuff they may still have restrictions if they are considered illegal to own in the UK. |

If it looks like its for your personal use then you should be ok but with the exchange rate so bad is it worth it?
Also if you overload your car you can be stopped and your car seized as unsafe.
Frankly there is no point in doing it unless we get back to a more sensible exchange rate |

Generally you'll be ok - Beer, wines and spirits are fine, as are cigarettes or cigars. Weapons and narcotics on the other hand, no way! As long as you are polite and courteous and make no attempt to conceal anything, Customs officers are not likely to give any hassle.
You'll be fine provided you have less than 150 packs of cigarettes or 200 cigars; 200 pints of beer; 120 bottles of wine and 10 litres of spirits. If you take an extra person you can effectively double that allowance. The beer alone is SO much cheaper than UK prices that the savings cover the cost of the journey. |
