if they owe you money you can take up to three years to file without penalities. if you owe them there are penalities.

You Cant File Them For 2007 Yet.

No way. If you owe, you'll have someone from the IRS paying you a visit if you don't file and pay what you owe.

Elrico Delamonzo
depends on what year taxes you are filing

Clancy the Wonder Pony
Only if you file for an extension. Waiting until next year without notifying the IRS will attract their attention in a bad way and you might find yourself being severely fined - or even worse - audited.

Only if you file an extension, (which should have been done by the 17th.) You better get them in soon. The penalties for late returns get larger as time goes by.

only if you've overpaid taxes this year (2005 tax year) and have a refund coming. the IRS doesn't care how late you are when you are asking for your money back...only if you owe them!

moneyquestion
you have to file an extension and NOT owe any money. They will come after you with penalties otherwise.
