i recently saw a docummentary were an ex-empoyee of the IRS, was saying that paying taxes was a big fraud. several ex-employees discovered that there is no legal punishment that can be used for people that don't pay taxes. those ex-employees were terminated from there jobs after discovering this and they have not payed taxes ever since. could this be true,,, i want to know if its all just a big scam. |

Of course..you don't "have" to pay taxes.
But if you don't the IRS will come after you and charge you with tax evasion. You will then not only owe a lot more money to the government, but you may get a new mailing address at a Federal Prison. |

Sorry...what you were told seems to be based on the idea that there is no constitutional basis for the income tax.
Unfortunately, the US Constitution specifically grants to Congress the power to lay and collect taxes, duties and tariffs. Meanwhile, some guy challenged the income tax in court...and lost, thereby making the income tax a legitimate part of US common law. |

It's not only a scam, if you act on this information, you will end up as a guest of the government with 3 hots and a cot - oh, and a criminal record. The courts have ruled on this and the income tax is legal.
BTW, we also really landed on the moon. |

There are folks who try to buck the system, and they usually wind up getting dragged behind the cart. The IRS does not play. It is simply not worth it worth it to try. The financial fallout is horrendous. You will wind up spending more in legal fees and penalties than you would have spent had you simply paid the taxes. Do not risk your financial future. It is a fool's gamble. |

One of the former IRS agents in the "documentary" is Sherry Peel Jackson. She was convicted of Tax Fraud last year and sentenced to prison.

It is unconstitutional for the government to tax your wages (income tax), the 16th amendment was never ratified, and most of what we think of as income isn't really income anyway.
