100%!
tell her to pay you over the table ie not in cash if she is going to deduct the taxes! She is probably pocketing the money for herself.
There is no benefit for you to be paid in cash unless you do it to avoid taxes! so demand to be paid the full salary in cash or by cheque! |

LOL - yes, she is screwing you. You are paying her income taxes. |

It sounds like she is cheating you AND the government. |

This sounds fishy to me! If she's worried about paying the higher taxes why doesn't she pay you as she should and then her income would be lower! From when you have said this sounds extremely fishy... in my limited experience if someone wants to pay you in cash it's because they are trying to avoid paying taxes themselves... if this is the case then she's just stealing from you... I would seek alternative employment or turn her in but this is not a good situation! |

i would ask her for proof of this if she cannot provide i would turn her in and just tell them u was gonna pay your taxes at theend of the year by filing what we call in the states a 1099 form. |

this appears to be a rip-off . Additionally you are possibly missing out on normal employee benefits such as insurance, health benefits etc normally required to be paid by employer. This Appears to me like you are getting ripped off in more ways then one. |

If your paying taxes at the end of the year then yes I think you should find out some information on a gov. site in your country then make sure they won't try to get you for not writing your money on your taxes then I would say report her. Research first. |

she is definitely doing the wrong thing!
I worked at a shop for a while and got paid in cash, my boss NEVER took anything out, she gave me the full amount every time!
How can her income appear bigger if she pays in cash? She is paying the SAME AMOUNT as she would if she paid you electronically or by another means! At least she should be!
Take the b*tch down mate. Nothing pisses me off more than seeing a hard working person getting ripped off! |

She's wrong. You can save her a** by not saying anything or save yourself and get what you deserve. Maybe find another job where people appreciate your work and don't mind paying for it. |

Yes, she is definately ripping you off. If she has to pay higher taxes, then SHE has to pay it not You! Confront her! |

She is lying through her teeth, and is taking advantage of your naivete. Typically there is a payroll tax where you pay to govenrment for employment insurance and pension plan but this is if you pay the people legimately (like cheque and direct deposit) where there is a audit trail. Hence her cost is more if she paid you by cheque, I am assuming that she pays cas and thus not paying the payroll tax and on top of that she is deducting from your pay, I would take this up with labor board. |

call the sherriff's department ; or the FBI ; and keep tabs on her with them ; to see if she really is stealing anybody's money including yours |

your paying HER tax and she`s Double-Dipping....if you do not alert the A.T.O. of what is happening to you , right now , the A.T.O. will certainly let YOU know about it when Tax time comes around , because they will most DEFINITELY give you a "Blue-y" , stating that you have not paid the correct amount of In-come tax and they will want it back!
AND at that stage , they will not care how it came about that they had to issue you a Blue-y , they will just want the MONEY.
Go to a Union Rep. , if you have one or an Ombudsman or if the A.T.O. can represent you , let them do so...DON`T try to do it bt your-self......Good Luck. |

LOL she's full of crap dude. shes taking your money and putting it in her pocket and calling it taxes.
i dunno, im canadian, and i know that here if you work for cash you definitely arent paying tax of any kind. maybe its different there. do you get any sort of record or reciept? if not, shes prolly just keeping it.
the disadvantage to you here is that if you screw with her she can just fire your asss and find someone else who will work for cash. since youre not technically employed, you dont have any legal right to complain if she ***** you around.
be careful in how you handle her or she can just tell you to piss off. |

She is cheating you AND the government.
You, on the other hand, are cheating the government.
So really you have no room to complain, you're both ripoffs. |

You have to pay taxes either way. Either she pays you in full cash and you have to pay ALL your own taxes or she withholds taxes from the cash she gives you, but you should be allowed to ask for a record of this everytime it happens. Sounds like it could be shady, but she may be legit, just ask for a paper record when you get paid. Don't forget, always pay your taxes, you can get away with murder but cant get away with not paying taxes! |
