It's a scam, period .You didn’t enter a lottery.All you are going to win is an empty bank account and more trouble than you ever dreamed of. Possibly a “courier” bill for a few thousand to “deliver” a “prize” you’ll never see. If you want to bother, forward the fraudulent email to phishing@cc.yahoo-inc.com, spam@uce.gov, and 419.fcd@usss.treas.gov.

Never, ever PAY to claim a prize. Period. Tell them to take the claim fee out of your winnings and send you the difference. And never give them any personal information about yourself. If they were legitimate, they wouldn't have to ask you anything. If you didn't enter any contest, you didn't win anything. If you did enter a contest, there will be a record of the contest with a reliable source that you can contact to confirm that they are legitimate. |

Any "lottery" that asks you to send money to release a prize is a scam, no matter what its called. If you received the "prize claim" message by email, report it as spam and get rid of it.
Every day, folks are taken in by these messages, and send off their hard-earned cash, never to hear from the "lotteries" again. Don't be fooled. |

The National Lottery website is safe and secure. You do, however, need to be on your guard against Internet fraudsters. The National Lottery never requests personal details, discloses any prize amounts, or asks for up-front fees. If you receive an email which sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
