The democrats are trying to have one sent out, however the republicans are fighting it. Therefore, nothing is being sent out at the moment. I wouldn't expect one - at least not for awhile. |

The president elect (Obama) made his first announcement that if Bush isn't going to have another stimulus bill passed, he promised he will do it himself once he becomes president.
So yes, we are looking at another Stimulus Check, possibly a larger amount then the first one. If not this year, it will come next year for sure. |

Not likely. What's being talked about for a second stimulus attempt is spending on public works to create jobs, and maybe additional mortgage support, not checks to individuals. But that could change if Congress feels that votes can be bought better with rebate checks - but with the election over, the need to buy votes has lessened, so I wouldn't count on it. |

No. The second economic stimulous plan has not yet become the law. The plan has to pass Congress and signed by the current president, Bush. We are not even sure if it's in a form of simply getting a check in the mail.
Also, it's not IRS who sent you the last econ. stimulous check, it was US Treasury. |
