Pound without a doubt. In times likes these our manufactured goods are cheaper abroad as a result of the pound being weak. I for one have always tried to buy British especially for major purchases such a cars. Next year I will holiday in the UK until such times as the pound strengthens against the EURO/USD. The problem for manufacturing is that raw materials purchased overseas such a steel can be expensive when the pound is weak and we therefore import inflation. But overall at this difficult economic time the pound being weak is not too much of a concern as long as it does not slide any further as this could be an indication of the general state of UK PLC

The day Great Britain ditches the GBP in favour of the Euro is the day I leave this country. We have already handed over too much sovereignty already to those bungling Eurocrats.

My opinion, The pound, its one thing that makes us British along with red telephone boxes and Yorkshire pudding, I don't see a reason to change.

£ is better unless they cut the tax down even more in line with europe - then my cigarettes would only be about £2.00 per 20 and not £4.98. When I was in spain a few months ago I noticed prices had went up a lot and a pint of beer was costing about £4 per pint.

I love the british pound, I am british. But i think they should come into the euro as I live in Ireland and currency changing is annoying. Also, my family get paid in GBP so lose alot when it gets converted. If I still lived in England i'd say keep the pound. But I live in Ireland, so I say bring in the euro.
