I don't really understand your question. I have never heard of anybody getting child support they paid back from the government, in the form of a tax refund. If you are referring to the child tax credit, that is something that goes to the parent with whom the child lives, not the one paying support. unless it is agreed by both otherwise |

Yes. You need to contact your local child support office. The clerks there will be able to help you with these forms. I would also suggest you consult your attorney as well. This should be just a quick call to confirm but it may save you some headache as well.
Good luck! |

I don't know if there is a form or not. I do know that the State of WI shares a database with the child support agency, so if the non-custodial parent owes back child support, the state can take any refund s/he may have coming.
This has no bearing on federal taxes...taxes are deposited directly into the taxpayer's account regardless. |

Are you trying to collect back child support? If so, you need to take your ex to court and get that process started. Then, any tax refund that your ex is entitled to receive will be seized to give you the back child support. |

Contact your local District Attorney, Family Support Office if you are having trouble getting child support. The DA can request a refund freeze. |

Do you mean you want to get the absent parent's tax refund to pay you for child support payments they missed?
If so, call your local department of Social Services and they can tell you what agency in your area handles the collection of back child support. But you'd better hurry, these things take time. Personally, I'm expecting my Federal refund this week.

child support has NO bearing on your taxes you cannot write it off
if you owe arrears (back support) they can and possibly will take your full refund to pay that support |

you pay child support because you had a child. children are not there to make money. they are there to spend your money however they want until they are 18. |

What you're asking is if the tax refund can be garnished, for that answer talk to someone at the IRS office in your community. |
