W-2's.
They should send it out by the end of the month.
You might be able to ask them for it but they usually send them via mail. |

It should be a Form W-2 or 1099 if you are a contractor.
The W-2 should go out at the end of the month and the 1099 at the end of February.
Ask and you may receive. |

You can use your last pay check stub from 2008 if you are in a big hurry. You will need their federal ID number. The W2 is what your employer will give you...most get annoyed when asked for it (like me!). They have until January 31 to mail it to you. |

Ask your boss how you will receive your W2, i get mine electronically by email, some places either give it to you at work or mail it to your house. |

Yes, you will get Form W2.
You may be able to file without W2. However, you should wait till you get all the Forms like W2s and 1099s. If you file based on last pay slip, you may have to file amended tax return if there is any different figure in W2 or 1099. Read http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/04/list-of-articles.html |

If you were paid as an employee (most likely), the form is a W-2.
If you are paid as an independent contractor, the form is a 1099.
The employer is required to give one these forms to you (and the IRS) by the end of January.
You can always ask the employer to give it to you now.
Since this is apparently your first time to file, may I congratulate you on entering the workforce and paying taxes. . |

It's a W-2 and your employer is required by law to furnish you with one by january 31st - unless they filed an extension, in which case you can too. |

I believe the "paper" you're referring to is known as a W-2. By law employers have until January 31st to get these postmarked and out to employees. Until you get that form you cannot file your taxes. Your employer has every right to wait until 1/31 to get this to you. Most companies do take that long also due to checking amounts & addresses. It's pretty common. |

How old are you? You should now that you need a w-2 form and those should be distributed by your employer from now to the end of Jan. you cant get it earlier it has to be distributed to all the employees at the same time. But you can ask. www.irs.gov can help you if you have more questions. I should know I help others file their taxes. |

Yes its a W-2... It tells you how much you have made the whole year and how much taxes have been taken out so that your tax preparer knows what information to input. |

He has until the end of January to give it to you. If you're a contractor, it's a 1099. Otherwise it's a W-2. |

Yes it's called a W-2. They are required to give it to you by February 15th. It probably will not do any good to ask your employer for it. When his accountant gets it done, they will mail it/give it to you. |

Your employer by law has to give you your W2 before January 31st. There are places that can file taxes with your last check stub... |
