If you made money, even from dividend earnings, interest, social security, etc., you have to report.

as long as you have income, you have to file.

i dont think so. It goes by what you made that year. if you make less then 500 for the year i think, you do not need to file it.

Yes....the year after you die.

Even in the year a taxpayer dies, if he or she was over the filing requirement, a return still needs to be filed. Getting the signature is a bit tricky though....

No, it depends on your income. People whose only income is social security, or who have only a very small income other than social security, don't have to file.

The tax year after you die, if all assets have been transferred to others.

tikababy
No if you work or have income you need to file. Uncle Sam don't play audits are real and they want and will get theirs.

crazyguyintx
No there is not an age limit. The only limit is based on adjusted gross income.

There is no age limit. At certain ages, your standard deduction increases and you stop paying tax on certain types of income (such as Roth IRA withdrawals), but you are obligating to file a return if your income is more than a certain amount, no matter how old or young you are.

NOPE. If you make enough to file it doesn't matter how old (or young) you are.

No.

As long as you have an income of any kind, including Social Security, you have to file a tax return. There are some papers you can file if SS is your only form of income. This would be instead of the normal forms.

No, for even old geezers have to pay their dues.

It has nothing to do with age. It's all about income.

The age of your death plus 1. The governement will never stop taking your money.

Age doesn't matter if your making a certain amount of money the government insist on their part! The amount you make all year determines wheater you need to file or not,of ANY age!

bostonianinmo
Sure. The year AFTER you die.
