Big kid | Is there anything we dont pay tax on? |
We go out to work and pay tax on what we earn. We go shopping and pay tax on what we buy. Fill our cars with fuel and pay tax on that plus road tax to have our car on the road in the first place. Drive home to our house that we pay council tax on. Turn on the heating and cook our tea using fuel that we pay tax on. Turn on the TV which we arent allowed to own unless its taxed (basically what the TV license is) And finally sit down on our sofa which had value added tax put on when we bought it. I also heard that in the future, one of the things that decides how much council tax we pay will be how nice the view is from our house!! For gods sake is there anything we dont get taxed on anymore? |

I live in Australia and we're one of the highest taxed countries in the world. IT SUCKS. me being female and all we have to pay tax on TAMPONS seriously apparently it's not a nessessity. YOU TELL ME WHAT WERE SPOSED TO USE??? at least you guys have GST free supermarkets |

I'm pretty sure that sex is tax-free.
Unless you practice safe sex, in which case your purchased birth control method is taxed.
I pay $35.00 a month extra, plus tax, for my apartment because it has a view of a golf course. I didn't exactly have a choice... I have to pay the premium, even though I specifically requested an apartment without the (bull-****!) view. $35.00 a month extra is a LOT, when you're a college student.
So no... there isn't anything you're not taxed on anymore. :) |

how to avoid income and capital gains tax. set up a trust fund in an off shore bank, preferably an off the shelf bank that you own, (but no one knows it). also set up a company off shore. the trust fund buy a house and maintain it, pay all the bills. you pay rent to the company you own. the company buy a pool car, you use it and don't pay tax. virtually everything you do is covered by expenses, you don't pay tax on. the company claims back as much VAT as possible. going on holiday, no problem, it's a business trip, want cash, get it sent from your off shore account direct to your holiday destination, can't be traced. the problem is you really need to be wealthy to do this and because they do it we have to pay their share of the taxes. big companies even take a loss at the point of sale in this country so they can pay no tax here and the profits are made by an off shore company and the shareholder's dividends are paid into off shore accounts, no tax paid. |

It is a myth that there is no tax on children's shoes. There is no direct tax (VAT), but there are taxes on all the items that go to make up the shoes, not to mention the companies that make/import/sell them. All of this is passed on to the consumer. |

If I'm not mistaken, I think that condoms don't incur tax, which is disgusting considering tampons (more necessary for women) do incur tax. Not right somehow. |

If the government can dream it, the government can tax it.
In the United States (I'm not sure where you're from) they even tax the money you leave your family AFTER YOU DIE. A lot of people call it the "death tax." |

Fresh air is just about the only thing but i am sure that the 'environment' we live in will soon be added to our council tax - much like the view we have.
The other thing is speach....free speach although resticted by the PC brigade isn't taxed so it's up to us to use it to make people aware! |
