You owe $347?? Is that what you are saying??
If you do owe $347, your rebate will definitely be applied to whatever you owe!! And then there's the whole...'how did you file your taxes and if you opted to have your prep fee's taken out of your refund through a third party'!! If this is your situation...you should expect a paper check in the mail and not a direct deposit!! |

from what my accountant friend says, that if you owe and did not pay on time you will not get a stimulus refund. they do not get applied to whatever you owe. you only get the stimulus refund if you file and pay on time. sorry but i dont think you will be getting one. |

I had not received mine either. I had direct deposit for my refund and did not owe anything as far as child support, old taxes, etc. I just looked on TurboTax and it says that if you used their service of taking the TurboTax fees out of your refund as opposed to paying with a credit card, you will receive your stimulus check via mail. Because your direct deposit information was transmitted to Santa Barbara Bank and Trust instead of the IRS, the IRS never receives your checking/savings account info.
That stinks! |

I did my own taxes with the H&R Block software and had them file the return, I do not owe any taxes and had my refund direct deposited.
Does the filing fees that I was charged by H&R block cancel out dd for the stimulus check? |

It seems we all have the same questions. I found this on the irs website - I didnt know about this until now -
Q. I chose direct deposit for my 2007 tax refund but also requested a refund anticipation loan (RAL) from my preparer. How does that affect my stimulus payment?
A. Taxpayers who use Refund Anticipation Loans (RALs) or enter into any other loans or financial agreements with a tax professional, such as agreeing to have return preparation fees deducted from their refunds, cannot receive their stimulus payments by direct deposit and instead will get paper checks based on the paper check distribution schedule. |

unfortunately, if you owed any taxes than your stimulus payment will be used towards anything that is owed to the irs and whatever is left over you will receive it by paper check and not direct deposit. |
