If you look in your employee handbook, you should find the answer. But at least at the law firms that I know in Southern California, you have to be employed by July or September of that year in order to qualify for the Christmas bonus (and it would be smaller (pro-rated) than someone who had been there the full year). |

Daft question. How would anyone know if you are entitled to a bonus. ASK YOUR BOSS |

Depends on your boss. |
|

Tx Guy

depends on the generosity of your company |

That depends on how generous your company is. |

Not very christian if you don't.... labourers in the field and all that business. |

That really depends on your company. I have worked for companies who give out Christmas bounuses and everyone would get the same amount. Then other companies give on the amount of time you have worked for the company, others give on the amount of profit they made that year.
Best is not to depend on one and be really happy if you do get one. |

it depends who you are working for and who's your boss |

When I started the job I'm in, I didn't get a bonus the first year as I was only in the job a month as well. BUT... they had a mathematical formula to figure out the bonuses as I work for a Bank.
A law firm may be a bit more lenient. I would guess you may get a small one for your month's work... Hope so.
GOOD luck. |

Shouldnt you be asking your boss this question? |

probably not...most benefits don't kick in until 90 days of employment. |

Very, Very, Very unlikely. You may get a token gesture of a hundred quid or so but I wouldn't be that hopeful for more. Some contracts even state that you won't get any bonus in your first year. |

You will get a small one for sure, they wouldn't want to discourage someone new to their team. It'll probably be more than you would expect.

you should get something, but not bonuses like they would |

Unlikely you will receive anything, although that is perhaps depending on your contribution to the firm. When I employed staff, if any were in a similar position to you, I would usually give something as a gesture. Bonuses are not easily averaged out since it usually depends on the success of the firm and your contribution to it. |

Probably not, but it might be to your future benefit not to complain about it, since you are the new guy. |

You might get a small bonus like 1/12 of what everyone else is getting. The bonuses at my work range from 7-12% of annual salary. |

it all depends but generally no possibly prorated |

They'll send you to the dollar store and let you get two items. |

not sure how much the bonus is but you should get one next payday |

Whether you get a bonus or not will be down to your companies policy and your bosses discretion.
Think yourself lucky if you get anything - everyone in the relatively small company I work for gets a £40 bonus, which is taxed. |
|

Aye. Right!
 |
Well, if I was your employer, I wouldn't! lol |
