I received my 2nd letter on Monday the 12th stating that my check will be snail mailed on the 16th with the amount that was posted on the irs.gov site.
My SSN number ends in 67. That should let you know that this is very confusing and deposits and checks are going out across the SSN board.
The only way to know is to keep checking the irs site daily. I know for a fact that it has been updating everyday. |

I received a letter when this whole thing started saying that I was eligible for a stimulus check, but didn't receive the letter explaining the amount and when it was to be deposited until after the direct deposit was already made. |

I got my second notice on Monday saying how much to expect and when to expect it but I haven't gottn my snail mail check yet. I really need it so I hope it comes soon. |

Generally the answer is yes (such as my case) but with such a large number of people getting stimulus payments, this question can be a bit tricky to answer.

ours was direct deposit on friday may 9th and on the 12th got the letter stating how much and when guess they are a little slow on sending out the letters |

yes I got a letter telling me that I qualify for the stimulus check, then I got a letter a week prior to my due date telling me to expect it on the date and what the total amount would be, but check this out, this lady was cashing her check at the bank and I believe she had 323.00 and I ask her why her check was so low, she told me that she should have gotten 1200.00, but she owed on a student loan so they took what she owed, I ask her did she recieved a letter saying that she would only be getting that amount, she told me that she never recieved any letters from them period, so I'm hoping that maybe if you recieved letters from them then your safe in recieving what they say you should recieve on that letter. |

No. Some people recieved a notice that they MIGHT be eligible. But you will not receive another notice. |
