Most often people ask:

What happens if I you don't file my taxes or what is the benefits of filing?

That's a good argument, however congress don't give a damn! They have the power to levy and collect taxes.

If you work, you should file.

Why?

If they ever catch up with you and they will. Any profession that you profess that you work in, they will use that against you by an average of what that person should make in that field by your State.

Before this happens, they will send you numerous letters, hopeing and praying that you never respond to it.

Benefits:
1. If you have properties, that's tax a dedutible!
2. If you have children, then you might be qualified for "Earn Income Credit".
3. If you have a business, that's also a tax dedutible!

How would you know? Is the question you should be asking yourself.

But, look at Ron Isley or Wesley Snipes... LOL!

If you work, then your W2's are recorded.... Year after Year after Year. If you don't file then you will lose out on your personal exemptions. (You probably was due money but now you owe money)

By not filing in the long run you will come out owing more money, more taxes.

The IRS has a timeframe on how far they will allow you to go back on your taxes. This is called an "Amended" ! if you don't file within this timeframe, that's on you.

However, it is very important that you file your taxes every single year or you'll be sorry if you didn't!!!!

1. it keeps the IRS or State from filing a return for you...cause when you don't...they do it for you with no withholding or other credits...then they chase you down.

2. refund

3. duty

I get a good-sized refund because I'm a homeowner.
I don't go to jail or get fined for not filing.
If I need to borrow money, they'll want to see my tax returns.

Well, they're good reasons to me.

my two cents
#1 refund
#2 refund
#3 refund

Deja tired of Sweet
I don't pay taxes or Social Security etc.....so it would be benificial for the 1 REBATE 2 REBATE 3 REBATE otherwise it's a complete waste of time as I am working on projects that are not published...no income that I need to declare......so in general until this year it would be a complete waste of time for Me and the State and Federal Gov. But betch I am this year..........
