I worked for Albertsons for 3 months in 2008 and now it is turned into a Publix (Publix bought them). A few months later, I got another job and I received a w2 from them but not for Albertsons. Am I entitled to a w2 if I worked for 3 months? How the heck would I obtain it? |

Call Publix and explain your situation and request a W-2 form. Since they bought the company they are responsible to maintain company records. I mean they have to include your income and deductions in their wage tape they send to the government. |

You are freaking out prematurely.
Employees do not realize what a major pain in the butt producing W2s can be. It takes hours and hours and hours and the rest of your job still has to be done.
So, calm down and you should receive it from Publix. If you don't and Publix bought Albertsons, call Publix-they are required to keep the employee records. |

They have until the end of January. If you haven't received it by Feb 2-3, then contact whoever is in the payroll department where you worked. If they are closed, contact the Human Resources at the company home office. |

W-2's don't have to be in the mail until January 31st - relax already -
do they have your current correct address? if you moved, you won;t get the w-2 without telling them - USPS DOES NOT forward w-2's |

Yes you are entitled to a W-2, and yes you'll probably get it. Right now you'll just have to wait - they aren't due out yet, must be in the mail by 2/2. If you don't have it by 2/15 you can contact the IRS. |

Some very large number (like 75%) of companies send out W2s at the last possible moment.
Since they aren't due until the end of Jan, you are panicking wasy too early. |

It is not "late" yet. Make sure they have your correct mailing address. If you've moved since you worked there, make sure you filed a mail forwarding notice with the post offce. |

companys in the US have untill the 1st week of February to supply w2's if after that time you have not recvd it then you need to contact albertsons.
and you would only get a w2 if you made over 500 bucks I believe. |
