It has nothing to do with the date born, you would still be eligible for the full $1,000 credit even if your child was born on December 31st. The amount depends on your income. $1,000 is the maximum for this credit per child, however, you may also be eligible for the EIC. |

You will recieve the full credit....you could have had her on December 31st and you could still claim her...for the entire year.
P.S. it works the same with marriage. |

First of all CONGRATS on your little one...yes you will receive child tax credit...depending on what state you live in is how much you should get. My son was born 9/21/06 in long beach, california and when we filed our taxs we got back 1500. So it really depends on what state you live in (I think) or maybe how much you make ...I'm not really sure... but you will get it I promise! |

They have to pass that law first. It hasn't even been approved by the senate yet. I wouldn't count on it. I just read it's only an extra 200 dollar child tax rebate. I could be wrong. Either way don't expect it to come and if does then you'll be pleasantly surprised. |
