so no w-2 yet i work 3months last year for them and they said that they forgot that i worked for them last year yeah right but i asked for my w-2 and they said that they would call the account and get me one how long should i wait and what can i do i pay my own portion of my tax and they pay there's so help i need some advise .

Patience, please! They're only due IN THE MAIL as of today. Give it a few days for the Postal Service to do their thing and get it to you.

Legally your W-2 has to be mailed today, January 31, 2007. If you receive your W-2 with a postmark later than that date, you should report them to the IRS...Why? because it's against the law and they will get a fine. Don't forget to make a copy of the envelope when it arrives. You will need to send a copy to the IRS to show proof.

This is a Federal Law....no exceptions to this rule

you need to contact the irs they only had till the 31st of january to send them out if they havent sent it out they are in trouble i know because i work t a tax office there is a web site called w2express they may be listed there

Legally they have until today Jan 31 to get it out to you in the mail.

By law they have until Jan. 31 to get you a W-2.

They have until Jan 31st to get it to you, legally. IF you receive it tomorrow, then so be it, but if not, contact your nearest IRS office.

I worked for a company for 8 months and just called them today because i have not recieved my W2 from them. My old boss got on the phone and told me that my uncle that works for the company has it because he gave it to him to make sure that i got it. He knew that i had moved and didnt send it thru the mail he just gave it to a relative. The bad part about this is that 4 months ago I moved to a different state. I dont know how im supposed to get the w2 now and I really need to file my taxes. Any ideas of how I should approach this situation
