talk to your tax office (talk to your employer to find out who your tax office is) You will prabbaly end up having to do a tax return form for the 08/09tax year in april next year - nothing with tax in easy |

I would contact your tax office first, and as for leaving your bank account open, make sure there is enough for any payments due out, otherwise you may go overdrawn without noticing it, with the resulting charges mounting up. |

Your question is badly composed and therefore unclear.
You say "they have no idea what i should do" Who are they? Are you referring to your family or the tax people?
If it is the tax people who are telling you that they do not know what you should do, then tell them to bloody well find out and make an official complaint if they don't. |

3. You need to download form P85 from www.hmrc.gov.uk and send it to your tax office wqith your P45. You can have any refund due paid directly into your UK bank account. |

I certainly would recomend that you keep your British bank account going as this could be very useful in future years. It is very dificult to open a bank account from another country. |

I don't know about tax credits but with regards to your bank account, the problem may come if the address you're using for it is the address of the house you'll be moving out of. You'll need to change it to another address (a parents for exapmle) but will need someway of proving it is a legitimate address for you (does a bill or something get sent there with your name on it?). Otherwise, speak to your bank about your situation and see whta they suggest.
As for a tax rebate, you'll have to wait until the end of this tax year and you receive your P60 (April '09) which'll show the tax you've paid and when. Then all you need to do is write to the tax office who deals with you (your employer will be able to tell you which tax office you use) with a letter explaining what you're doing, your P60 and any relevant pay slips. They'll then write back and tell you whether you're entitled to any tax back. It will depend on whether you take up any other employment after you've moved etc. |

I left the country in June and left my bank account open due to tax credits. They have paid into this what was due and get yourself a form from the tax office. When your P45 arrives you have to send in the form along with parts 2 and 3 to the relevant tax office. Hope this helps |

Just get in touch with the tax office, they will be able to tell you the correct way to go about it and weather or not you can claim it back.... |
