YES!
they don't care if you are a dependent. just fill out the form like normal people do. i think there's some benefit if you are a full time student

if someone writes you off as a dependent on THEIR tax return. chances are, if you are living with your folks, you are a dependent. Ask your parents to show you how to fill out the form. Good luck!

Put 0. file single. at the end of the year when you have to file tazes you will get a little money back.if you claim yourself now and claim 1 you could end up oweing taxes at the end of the year, depending on how much you make. Play it safe and get a small reward at tax time. This is what our tax lady taught my kids.

basically you put your name and your social security number.

the big thing is whether you put a 0 or a 1 (you can claim yourself as a dependent in some cases.)

if you put O, then the government will take more out of your taxes, but you get a bigger refund when you prepare your taxes (the problem with this is that you are essentially loaning your money to the government interest free.)

if you put 1, they don't take as much taxes out, but you will get a smaller refund when you file your taxes. The advantage to this is that you get more money in each paycheck that you can do....whatever.......

Always put zero until you get married because you will need that refund at filing time.

Glittergirl
just put 0s everywhere. If you live with your parents they are going to be claiming you on their taxes as a dependent. You should put zero though you have no dependents meaning children or someone else you support. and with zero they take out more money and you get back more at the end of the year.

Go to irs.gov which is the website for the IRS.
They have forms listed by number/letter.
When you click on W4, it'll tell you how to
complete it.
Or else call the toll-free phone number they
have on their website to talk to a live person
who can answer your questions.
