My husband does outdoor jobs for cash, how do we go about paying our taxes on this income?
My husband does outdoor jobs for cash, is it possible to pay taxes on this income and how? Since we do not own any business does this mean he is self-employed? We live in Quebec, Canada. Thanks for your help!

Joe S
Yes he is self employed and has to pay taxes on his net income. He needs to file his federal return with a T2125 form this will allow him to claim his gross income and deduct any expenses related to work, and the same as other years he still needs to file a Quebec return.
