If the IRS deposited your refund into your own account, and it didn't go through the tax preparer for them to take out your fees or RAL, with a little luck it should be in your account tomorrow. Some, but only about 1/3, of the ones due out this week have already been sent, most are tomorrow. |

It depends on if you filed and got a paper check or direct deposit. If it was a paper check, it's being mailed out no later than May 23. If you did the direct deposit option, you will have it tomorrow, May 2. |

supposedly the last 2 of you s.s. only matter if you did not get direct deposit. those numbers are only significant if you're expecting a check in the mail. |

It told me how much and when I'm getting it.
The media has totally confused the public with this. Althought the 1st group is 00-20, the IRS is not neccessarily going in order of 00-20, meaning 00 is not 1st, then 01, 02, etc. They are going by the form you used (1040EZ, 1040, etc.). So, someone with last 2 of 18 could actually receive theirs before someone with last 2 of 01. |

If you opted for direct deposit, you should get it by May 2. If you get paper check then it will be after May 16.
IRS began the transfer economic stimulus payments from April 28, 2008, and many have already seen the payments in their bank accounts. Those who opted for direct deposit will be the first to get the rebate. Mailing of paper check will begin from May 16. Those with last two digits of SSN between 88 to 99 will get paper check after July 4, 2008.

Checks won't be mailed until the 9th of May...only direct deposits are being processed right now. If you had your refund direct deposited into your bank account and did not have any of it go thru a 3rd party (ie refund anticipation loan, a preloaded card, or if you paid your fees out of your refund instead of paying them when you filed) you will recieve your rebate no later than Friday. If you had anything other than a direct deposit from the IRS with no 3rd party involvment then you will recieve a paper check.
The IRS has a "where's my rebate" link now, but it has to be after your date has passed inorder for it to work. |
