My son was born Feb 6th of this year, am I able to claim him on my 2007 taxes?
The answer is an big NO..... individual fiscal years are January 1st to December 31st of that same year, since you state that he was born Feb. 6th, 2008, you would be able to claim him on your 2008's taxes which fiscal year is from January 1st, 2008 to December 31st, 2008......... Sorry.....

No... He has to be born in 2007 or before to be claimed in 2007.

Do you even have a SS# yet? I'm not sure I think if you got a SS# you can claim.

No. You claim the dependent in the year they are born, no matter what day. So you will claim him for 2008, since that's the year he was born.
wartz
Not unless you can backdate his birth certificate.

what you can claim is any medical bill that was inccured in the year 2007 in order to have him but as for a child tax credit no you had him in 08 not 07.
