just appending a question mark to any kind of statement doesn't turn it into a question. did you have a question or was this just a rant? << see, that is an actual question |

If there is a problem with a return that you paid to have prepared, you need to go back to the preparer. A problem could be that your return is rejected, or that the refund is not as indicated in the return, or you received correspondence regarding the return from the IRS or state or local taxing authority.
So, take your problem back to the preparer. They will correct any error that they made, and they should not charge you for the amendment to correct their error. They should have interviewed you for the correct information. If they failed to ask you a pertinent question, and that resulted in a rejection or change of refund, then you need to point that out to them and have them correct it.
If you failed to answer questions fully, or omitted income documents, then that is your error and the preparer will charge you to prepare an amendment. |

So what is the problem? You did not indicate in your question, what the problem is? |

The taxes return was prepared with tax information you provided the tax preparer, so why are you quick to point fingers at H & R Block?
NOW WHAT IS YOUR QUESTION??????????????????? |
|

Caren H
|
did you call them and tell them why you think it was wrong? |
|

Were they not prepared right because H&R Block made an error, or were they not prepared right because you didn't give H&R Block the right information, or didn't give them all of the paperwork they needed, or otherwise didn't give them enough accurate information to do your tax return properly?
If the mistake was theirs, they should do your revised form for you at no charge. If the mistake was yours, you can submit your revised form yourself, or you can pay H&R Block an additional fee to revise it for you.
How do you know it wasn't prepared right? |

That doesn't surprise me. A lot of the people working there during tax season aren't really professionals, just people who have had some training and are available to help during tax season. I'd go and complain in person, but I don't know if it will really do any good. |
