1800, if you paid at least that much in taxes. If you only paid 1569.00 after deductions they will only give you that much.

Joe or Shell J
Yup. 1200 for the Married couple and 300 for each kid under 17. Enjoy the cash and save it wisely.

Correct, so now you can spend it on gas and give it to the Arabs.

DaIllestBee
Yep 1200 for couples 300.00 per kid that = 1800.00

mudbug
The MAXIMUM rebate for qualifying taxpayers is $600 per adult and $300 per dependent child under 17. The number on the return line that says TAX determines if you receive the maximum.

Yes, that is correct. :) Thats how much my parents got. They made 56k and have 2 kids.

Sounds like either you have high deductions or credits to not owe at least $1200 in tax for the year, or that one of the kids is over age 16 so you don't get a payment for them (that cuts off at 17).

It is NOT based on your income. Many people are getting less than $600 each. We get BETWEEN $300 and $600 each.

The amount you'll receive will be based on your 2007 income tax 1040 form. You must have made at least $3000 in earned income to qualify for the rebate. If your tax liability was less than $300, you and your spouse (if you're married and filed jointly) will each receive $300. If it was between $300 and $600, you'll receive that amount. If it was more than $600, you'll each get $600. You'll receive $300 for each qualifying child.

To see what your income tax liability was for 2007, add the amount shown on Form 1040, Line 57 plus the amount on Line 52. For 1040A filers, it is the amount on Line 35 plus the amount on Line 32. For Form 1040EZ filers, it is the amount on Line 10.
